Scent Profiles & Fragrance Notes

A scent profile is a way to categorize a fragrance's smell. Scent profiles are often described in terms of broad categories like floral, wood, amber, or fresh.

Fragrance Notes are the individual ingredients that make up a fragrance's scent profile.

Fragrance notes are categorized into three types:

  • Top notes - That fresh fleeting first impression
  • Middle notes - The heart of a scent adding warmth and depth
  • Base notes - The enchanting finish adding a rich and lasting aura

The combination of these notes creates a fragrance's unique profile.
